Position Summary
Join the leader with over 45 years of Satellite Communications experience as the Program Manager, Corporate Communications within the Corporate and Marketing Communications team of Intelsat. The incumbent of this position will design, write and distribute the company's internal communications in order to explain the company's mission and convey the company's ability to contribute to the success of its customers. He/she will coordinate events such as "All Hands" meetings, will create customer newsletters and social media such as videos, blogs and podcasts and will also design, promote and implement the major components of the company's employee motivation programs (e.g. the Most Valuable Player program, Pub Fridays). He/she will also be responsible for managing the external vendors who deliver the company's employee communications programs.

Critical Responsibilities:
1. Manage the editorial calendar for employee communications and coordinate editorials for the Intelsat Insider, delivering content to achieve communication of key themes and messages and managing the development of content from multiple resources to ensure that communication is consistent, timely and interesting.
2. Create new social media programs to attract the interest of employees in order to better explain our marketing initiatives.
3. Collaborate with the Marketing team in order to meet content and delivery dates for internal communications requirements.
4. Direct the development of video and audio interviews to improve employee knowledge of late breaking news.
5. Design and implement employee involvement and teamwork programs.
6. Create company-wide employee messaging leading to stronger employee focus on achieving Intelsat's strategic objectives.
7. Manage corporate resources in support of industry events and memberships such as: SSPI, SSPI Gala, Washington Business Roundtable and WTA.
8. Develop, manage and execute the company-wide All Hands meetings four times per year and as needed, including preparation of supporting presentations and executive preparation.
9. Manage the company’s Team Intelsat community outreach programs, identifying unique branding opportunities and facilitating positive community relations, while increasing employee morale and camaraderie.

Important Responsibilities:
1. Manage the company's budget for sports events and corporate charitable contributions.
2. Create company-wide employee activities leading to stronger employee focus on achieving Intelsat’s strategic objectives.
3. Identify and update necessary data on the corporate intranet site and the Investor site of Intelsat’s public site.
4. Serve as the corporate host for tours on an as needed basis for VIPs.
5. Coordinate and host Intelsat-sponsored events serving as a company and industry liaison.
6. Provide an overview of employee communication to all new hires.
7. Serve as a proof reader for other corporate content on an as needed basis.

Minimum Requirements
* Must have a Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field, with at least five years of experience in communications.
* Must have advanced knowledge of communications principles and practices, including the ability to translate company goals and strategies into successful messages, advertising and communications for internal/external consumption.
* Must have excellent oral and written communication skills, highly developed writing and interpersonal skills and the ability to stay organized and effective even in crisis situations.
* Highly developed strategic thinking skills required, including the ability to interact with key internal stakeholders and to maintain a highly visible role within the organization.
* High degree of professional decorum required.
* Experience with email marketing, photography, photo editing and social media required.

Preferred Qualifications
* Prior experience with customer relationship management tools (specifically SalesForce.com) preferred
