Job Title: Lab/Equipment Manager Work Location: Dahlgren, VA Clearance: Secret clearance Education: Associates or Bachelors degree desired Experience: Minimum 6 years of relevant experience Certification: N/A Schedule: Monday - Friday day shift Travel: Occasional Salary: Job Listing Number: VA24001 Contract Labor Category: Lab/Equipment Manager S4 Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Lab/Equipment Manager to join the forefront of national defense technology at the Naval Surface Warfare Center Dahlgren Division (NSWCDD), Electromagnetic (EM) Effects Division. We're seeking talented individuals to support critical projects ensuring the operational capability of military forces and platforms. As part of our team, you'll provide technical and engineering support, risk analysis, and integrated logistics for a range of initiatives, from legacy systems to emerging technologies. Responsibilities: Manage laboratory or warehouse operations, ensuring efficient receipt, storage, and shipment of materials and equipment. Verify incoming materials or equipment against receiving documents, documenting and reporting discrepancies and damages. Route materials to prescribed storage locations, adhering to prescribed storage methods. Conduct inventory management, including storing, stacking, palletizing, and rearranging stored materials. Monitor stored materials for deterioration and damage, reporting as necessary. Prepare materials for shipment, ensuring compliance with regulations and protocols. Support Program Managers and System Managers in developing and reviewing logistics procurement and management processes. Coordinate life cycle logistics, including disposition, sustainment, and procurement of material such as support equipment, test equipment, safety equipment, packaging, storage, and transportation. Interface with representatives from external organizations as needed. Qualifications: Six (6) years of experience in laboratory or warehouse management environment. Demonstrated experience in at least three of the following areas: verifying incoming materials, documenting discrepancies, routing materials, inventory management, examining stored materials, preparing materials for shipment. Experience in supporting logistics procurement and management processes, including life cycle logistics, sustainment, and procurement. Ability to interface effectively with external organization representatives. Secret Clearance required.
