ABOUT THE ROLE
This intermediate-level position will be a member of our multi-disciplinary team and will collaborate with design and technical leadership and be an integral part of project teams. Under the direct supervision of a Licensed Architect and project leadership the primary responsibilities will include the following:
WHAT YOU WILL DO
  • Independently and under limited direction, contribute as part of a multi-disciplinary team; design, selection, coordination and architectural detailing.
  • Prepare and contribute to design and presentation efforts utilizing Illustrator, Photoshop, Sketch-Up, and other programs as required.
  • Independently develop and manage the REVIT model to produce plans, elevations, and sections. With limited direction, produce REVIT section and plan details within all architectural phases.
  • Prepare preliminary design sketches of small to moderate-sized site plans.
  • Communicate with other disciplines to ensure coordination of project documents.
  • Assist in the development of design and concept drawings.
  • Assist in coordination of engineering systems with engineers.
  • May take on a leadership role within the team on a particular project issue or topic.
  • Review shop drawing submittals with some guidance from the Project Architect.
  • May attend field site inspections, which frequently involves a physical walk-through of the site.
  • Attend and actively participate in project team meetings
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
ABOUT YOUR QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor degree in Architecture OR non-professional Bachelor degree within a school offering a NAAB accredited program required. B.Arch or M.Arch from an accredited program preferred.
  • Minimum 4 years of related professional experience. Experience in Education and Health projects is preferred.
  • Actively pursuing Architectural Registration in the United States preferred.
  • LEED accreditation preferred.
  • Strong creative design portfolio is essential as are strong communication, teamwork, presentation, graphics, organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple projects.
  • Proficiency with Revit, Enscape, Bluebeam, Microsoft Office, and Adobe Creative Suite required.
The salary range for this position to be filled in the New York, NY office is $68,450 to $82,500 annually. This salary range is the range we believe is the anticipated range of possible base compensation at the timing of the posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the anticipated salary range for the position. Employees may be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
