OverviewCorporate Accounting, within the Corporate Financial Services organization, is looking for a Finance Manager to join the Revenue System and Tools team. The Revenue System and Tools team is a highly motivated team dedicated to designing, building and maintaining tools, processes and models that the Revenue teams will use to ensure financial statement integrity. We are a passionate group that is responsible for providing Microsoft's extended Revenue Accounting team a single source of truth for all revenue analytics. We are looking for a solid Finance Manager to join our team as we implement and manage a scalable set of solutions for our extended Revenue Accounting team. Solutions are delivered via Excel, Power Pivot, Power Query, Power BI and SQL. You will be able to leverage your own resources to identify and implement effective changes to existing systems/processes as well as collaborate with other groups to deliver solutions within tight timeframes. The Finance Manager will have capable interpersonal and communication skills while maintaining a positive can-do attitude. This individual should have demonstrated experience in solution delivery, management and support. Solid understanding of the relevant Microsoft technologies and of financial statement presentation, outstanding communication skills, and bias for action are critical for success in this role. ResponsibilitiesEngage with business owners to assist in the definition, interpretation, and implementation of Accounting solutions and modelsPerform business validation testing on tools and models as required Provide ad-hoc analysis, support, and solutions as necessary to support Corporate Revenue AccountingOwn and deliver on a broad range of financial close reporting and accounting activities that drive quarterly revenue recognition accounting adjustments and financial statement integrityPartner with Corporate Accounting, Central Finance Teams and the Segments to provide insights and understanding of revenue recognition accounting adjustmentsProactively challenge existing processes and implement changes as neededCreate documentation of tools and processes to ensure adequate controls and compliance around revenue recognition accounting adjustments either owned or supported by our teamDesign and engineer business continuity into all of the tools, processes and models delivered in this roleEmbrace uncertainty, take risks, and learn quickly from mistakes while looking to achieve more through technology and innovationAvailable to support financial close procedures which occurs prior to and after business hours Other Embody our culture and values
