The Department of Neurology & Rehabilitation Medicine serves to fulfill the tripartite mission of all academic departments contributing to patient care, education, and discovery that leads to new therapeutics. Patients benefit from state-of-the-art care utilizing advanced medical technologies. The interest of the laboratory is to understand the immune system dysregulation in autoimmune diseases. Our work is funded by the NIH, Patient Advocacy Groups, large and small industry contracts and donations to the Laboratory for Myasthenia Gravis Research. To achieve that goal the laboratory is dedicated to the pathogenesis of myasthenia gravis. Our therapy development program spans preclinical programs, clinical trials, biomarker discovery, and basic research on the autoimmune process. We are seeking a Senior Research Associate to perform research/development activities focused on interrogation of multiple -omic data sets including clinical information related to myasthenia gravis. Using a wide degree of creativity and latitude,core responsibilities of this position are to make detailed observations, analyze data and independently interpret results, with limited guidance from the Principal Investigator Working under general supervision, this position typically reports to a Principal Investigator, and may provide guidance to junior staff.
