Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Serve as a crucial intermediary between government budget analysts and student travelers throughout the travel order funding and reimbursement procedures, ensuring seamless communication and adherence to financial protocols mandated by the Government.
  • Compile comprehensive financial reports, conduct meticulous financial analyses, furnish detailed cost assessments and trend analyses of school programs, and extend support for supplementary financial reporting and budgetary evaluations at the behest of the Government.
  • Provide informative briefings to students regarding travel authorization preparations and elucidate the intricacies of the travel authorization funding and reimbursement process. Methodically input student travel authorization and voucher data into the Defense Travel System (DTS), meticulously ensuring compliance with the Joint Federal Travel Regulations (JFTR) and pertinent course funding regulations while meticulously verifying the inclusion of all requisite receipts and information.
  • Monitor the status of all vouchers, both submitted and pending, and promptly address student inquiries and concerns regarding the processing status of vouchers with professionalism and expediency.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Active TS/SCI 
  • Counterintelligence Polygraph
  • A minimum of three (3) years of demonstrated experience in budget analysis, coupled with proficient utilization of the Defense Travel System (DTS).
  • Proficiency in MS Excel is mandatory.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication abilities are imperative for effective performance in this role.
